The space is a photography agency located at the ground floor in a courtyard building in Nolo, Milan.
Distribution and accesses have been improved to create a double-height open space, with a studio and meeting area at the entrance loft and a large basement for shooting and exhibitions.
Superfluous elements have been removed, walls and structural elements have been painted in total white and the basement floor covered with cement, providing a sense of unity to the space.
The empty back wall, containing many niches and irregularities, has been covered for the entire height with a new counterwall to be used as a backdrop for shooting.
Plaster natural degradation is preserved to create unfinished textured surfaces which accentuate the contrast with the white tone of the space.
